Stranger things would actually make the cutest comedy if you took away all the monsters and the pain and the suffering.
A grumpy sherrif adopts a tiny telekinetic 12 year old girl. He sends her to school and she becomes best friends with his ex high school flames son who he now has to interact with because her kid is over at his house all the time. While he’s dealing with all this he also has to deal with his training his new deputy Steve who somehow manages to get his ass kicked at every call he goes out to answer. Not to mention Steve is always at his house to because apparently he’s adopted half of the fucking neighborhood kids and the kids are always at his house. It would be so funny and cute
