There’s a Sana in every country. It’s amazing, being a part of that. But in the TV series I’d watched over the years, there was no one I could relate to. I first realized how strong the need was once I played the part myself. Now that the Sana character exists worldwide, I ask myself:surely it can’t all end there?
Okay, but Engel, bless her heart, is actually trying to be respectful of Imaan. Nothing so far has come from a place of maliciousness. She asked for her to be added to the group chat. She researched and chose some place where she thought they ALL could have a good time. She looked up how to greet someone in Arabic. This girl is trying to understand. Imaan might find it annoying, but have we ever had a “Vilde” that actively went out of her way to try to make the Sana character feel included/accepted? No, we have not.
