Greek Myth:         Goddesses  -  Persephone

↳ In Greek mythology, Persephone, also called Kore (“the maiden”), is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter and is the queen of the underworld. Homer describes her as the formidable, venerable majestic princess of the underworld, who carries into effect the curses of men upon the souls of the dead. Persephone was married to Hades, the god of the underworld.

i dont want to make this long and lame but??? skam nl is out there killing it!! their eva is so diffferent while still being eva?? she’s quiet and insecure like the og buuuuuuut: this one is not as passive at times nor as sentimental!! in fact she’s rather pragmatic!! she stands up for herself when necessary and even comes across as grumpy which it’s okay as she’s not perfect!!

like now? she’s out there downplaying the cheating? not cool imo BUT it’s quite the daring change? it’s a flawed yet realistic defensive mechanism!

aaaaaand we have isak/lucas? we do actually see him in the eye of the storm for a change! torn between the family stress, the guilt AND the fact that isa/eva only seems to remember their friendship when there are issues with kes? he is a snake and he fucked up, but we’ve never seen this side of him?

what i’m saying is: this is how you introduce changes! and i’m so greateful to be able to appreciate a remake that repeatedly references the og through fun clues as a sign of respect while doing nearly everything right at the same time!

“Iron Man 3[…]is such a good representation of anxiety. […] We see tony stark avoiding a lot of situations that are difficult for him, and that’s a big hallmark of anxiety. It’s a good example of trauma, because trauma happens when a fundamental belief you have has been challenged in some way. He’s always been able to engineer his way out of danger, and this was the first time that he couldn’t.” —Dr. Ali Mattu, clinical psychologist, Reviews Mental Illnesses in Movies
